Mars Mania With all the current excitement of the Rover and Beagle missions, I feel it timely to re-introduce the issue of humankind’s Martian origins. This is one of my favourite old chestnuts but it was articulated brilliantly by James Nugent (of all people) who reckoned that Mars was the real Garden of Eden and Noah’s Ark was a spaceship taking the survivors from the Martian cataclysm to safety on Earth. داني ألفيس Leaving aside the fact that some of the old defence systems are still evidently at least semi-operational on Mars as they continue to treat incoming probes like clay pigeons, we must remember that the length of a solar Martian day is 24 hours 39 minutes while the inbuilt human wake/sleep cycle is not as you’d expect 24 hours but much closer to…well, 24 hours and 39 minutes. Books advocating this theory are still fairly thin on the ground (but see the back cover of Martian Genesis and a not-quite-fiction treatment for examples of what is out there) and none appears to specifically link in the Garden of Eden story so I think James is onto a winning formula. Lastly, in the spirit of scientific fair play, if James’ theory is true then we would predict that when the surface of Mars is fully mapped we should find an enclosed area (e. لعبه ضومنة g. valley surrounded by mountain) from which four major watercourses once issued.
